Can I be real with you for a sec?

The attack on DEI and federal funding has hit home for me in a big way this past month. My family and I have made the conscious decision to boycott the corporations that have dismantled their DEI initiatives and aligned with an administration that has labeled DEI as a “corrupt movement.” Let’s be clear—DEI is necessary. Without it, what real initiatives exist to combat racism, ageism… shit… all the ‘isms’?

If you feel differently, I won’t hold you—go ahead and unsubscribe.

But if you’re still here, I want to share that my household is participating in today’s Nationwide Blackout in solidarity with DEI. If you are participating as well, I’ve put together something different for you: 10 BIPOC-FRIENDLY STREAMERS NOT NAMED “TUBI” to support today’s movement (and beyond)—because we don’t need to give Disney or Netflix our dollars or attention to be entertained.

I encourage you to share this with others joining the Blackout. Let’s show these corporations the power of unity.

Proceeds from all sales made this winter (January 13 - March 20) will be sent to an organization aiding victims affected by the recent devastating fires in Los Angeles.
